Though I am a gluten intolerant girl, somehow my system can handle a teensy bit of spelt here and there. Maybe it`s because I quit full gluten grains at such I young age (I got started gluten free somewhere around age 15.) Let me tell you, I`ve missed a lot of cookies and donuts since then. So when I ran across this recipe for Baked Banana Chocolate Chip Doughnuts I had to share it with you all. Have at it! Just be sure to go for a walk or something the next day (because of course you wouldn`t eat such a succulent dessert for breakfast, yes?)
And if you feel a little mischievous and don`t think Spelt is really up to par to your high and mighty allergen standards, you can just sub in gluten free cake mix with a tiny bit of chocolate chip cookie mix.
