Inchworm: The Epic

I know I keep posting that Spring is coming, but it`s because I`m so excited that it is true! The forsythia, harbingers of Spring and soon to come warmth, have bloomed, so I know I`m not completely off base on this one. They`re a lot more reliable as sources go than Groundhog Day!

So, what am I so excited about this time? Butterflies!

I know they will actually just be caterpillars, as butterflies don`t really happen until Summer, but I can dream. In the meantime, I have cute little inchworms all around me. Don`t know about inchworms? They have their own poem. Here it is:

Inchworm, inchworm,

in a cinch worm.

Has no worries nor cares.

Inchworm, inchworm,

goes to his home

inches up the stairs.

Inch worm inch worm,

noises in his home

now the inchworm`s scared.

Inch worm, inch worm,

run from your home

but he wouldn`t dare.

Inch worm, inch worm,

try to go home

find what could be there.

Inch worm, inchworm,

rabbit next door is home,

now you don`t feel so scared.

Inch worm, inch worm,

now you are home

cast away your cares.

Do you like my newest poem? I think it is more structured than my usual, but it is good to experiment! How do you think I did?
