Well, I promised you interest stories. And I`ve got one right here for you. If you like this type of post, please please please tell me. I need to know how you feel, because I kind of am writing for you. We`re pen pals like that. Or, at least type pals, though that really doesn`t
Month: April 2013
I love Anthropology. I think I could live in that store. There have been times when I`ve gone into the shop, and a bunch of friends all agreed that everything we saw was cute. Granted, there have been pretty hideous things in there, but they usually have a greater quantity of cute things to balance
I see a lot of people have been getting serious about their health. They eat organic food, shop at the farmer`s market, plant back yard gardens for beauty and produce, and use more nontoxic cleaners and paints in their homes. However, they don`t really have the whole picture. If you have been looking for a
My Basic Sports Outfit So, if you are a new badminton player, (like me) you need to get your outfit pulled together! Here is the latest (and most fashionable) combination for sports in general. Well, if you are a girl. I know I always feel a little funky with how casual and bland sports clothes
This is Carlyle House, in historic Old Town Alexandria. You`ve noticed I visit the city a lot, haven`t you? I guess I just love this city! Seriously, have you been to any of these places? You`d be a repeat visitor too if you were close enough to have that luxury. One day I`m going to
Two months ago I did a research visit (Yeah, research. suuure, Z!) at Katsucon. Among many amazing things I hadn`t seen in general, I also saw many elements of style I don`t run into when I flip through my Vogue or fashion blogs. Which is actually pretty surprising, considering that you`d think the first place
12/21/12 12:21 am. I love Winter. It is such a beautiful season. I realize now that I`ve actually done most of my Winter time posts complaining that I wanted Spring! It`s not quite true. Winter may actually be my favorite season, so I think I need to share some of my love for it now.
Historic Loveland Colorado has many little Mom and Pop stores and restaurants that you can visit. The aptly named Loveland Coffee shop is like a locally owned Starbucks, boasting eight varieties of gluten free baked goodies (when I visited), an extensive gallery of professionally framed photographs, and a little dummy holding a tray of drinks.
Also called Rainy Fields, or The Gatherer. I guess I`m not all too decisive about naming something that has really gone unnamed since I made it, but I can`t in all consciousness really feel justified in not bothering to name something that has its own post. It would feel demeaning. So, instead, apparently this piece
Why did I throw some Disney (I know, shocking that it comes from them of all places!) song lyrics in as my title? Because it`s catchy. See, it got you to read this, right? At any rate, I do know some drunken looking things around here. Some forlorn looking tree branches, for one. Yes, it
The Death of a tree is a terrible thing. For all that shade will no longer be. No happy Summer picnics, no more tree climbs. No resting spot for glorious wind chimes. The birds will move on, the squirrels will leave. The little bunny rabbits will leave your yard be. The foxes will be hungry
A Lady in Need Can`t always Ask Her Knight for Help… Sometimes, emergencies happen. And I`m not talking about a heart attack or flood, here. I`m talking about serious stuff that your local EMT couldn`t care less about. (Unless on her off hours she is a fashionably shod lady. Which plenty of EMTs are, promise!)
People sometimes ask me why I ‘waste’ my time, scribbling words away to a bored audience. There are many reasons! I love that ah-ha moment, and I want to bring it to the maximum number of people possible. I want to create eureka moments, and a sense of wonder in the world around us. I
I say box brownies because I did a terrible thing. I used a brownie mix, and I did not actually make the brownies for myself. Well, sure, I had mixed up the mix itself a month or so before, so it was all actually homemade, but it is still not the done thing. Then, when
On a tour of Old Town, Alexandria (Virginia) I found this cute little shop. They had the most amazing cupcakes, and there was a gluten free flavor! (Gluten free seems to be almost universal in Old Town!) It was dark flourless chocolate with peanut sprinkles, and there was a hint of cinnamin in the cupcake
