A New Angle: A Photo Tour

I’ve been playing around with experimental photography, as you’d know if you saw Night Lights. Today we are looking at shots taken from odd angles of a bridge over the Chesapeake. This bridge has brought me to and from my trips to Chincoteague over the past few year, the site of a lot of photography for me. I took my night photos, its sequel, and some great sunset photos. I’ve also taken a lot of pretty pictures of the island itself, but, ehem, I haven’t gotten around to posting those yet. Whoops! But please do enjoy my experimenting with angles here on the bridge.

I’ll admit it, I have agoraphobia. You know, fear of open spaces. And bridges are often pretty darn open area.

Usually, bridges kind of creep me out. But these bridges are so contained, it makes me feel comforted.

And those intricate shapes are so fascinating! I could stare at them for hours. It’s like the delicate patterns of a spider’s web.

And you couldn’t see this scenery without the bridge putting you in the perfect position in the middle of deep waters. Though it was pretty difficult to take clear photos through the glass windows in a swiftly moving car, I think I managed to pull it off somehow. (:

Just look at the water there!

Is there some place or view that you really love?
