Hanukah Has Nailed It: A Festive Nail Art Tutorial For The Festival of Lights

Hanukah is upon us! In light of this event, I wanted to share a quick #NailedIt with you.

I didn’t actually nail it too much because I tried this technique in the middle of the night- and with five hours available for sleep for me that’s a particularly stupid idea- and I ended up facing a bit of a learning curve, but the end result is still pretty and super easy and I learned the one trick that would make this look perfect in future. (Besides doing the basics like cleaning up my cuticles with a little remover, because ain’t nobody got time for that.)

I just wanted to share with you a photo of my midnight nail polish inspiration. The cuticles were not cleaned up here and I’ll have to go back in with some nail polish remover to get rid of the spare sparkles sticking to skin instead of nails, but this technique was an easy two step process that adds a lot of depth and interest to nails so I think you might want to try it.

What I did was poke the nail with a mostly polish free brush to make irregular blob shapes in blue, then I repeated the same technique on top with silver polish. In the future the change I would make is putting a nude nail polish in one normal coat as a base before topping with the design so the base coat and top coat have something to stick to and have a more even finished appearance.

Hiya pal, please share your thoughts! :)
